Definitely Crosby and Guentzel. Two guys with high hockey IQ complementing each other. |

Amazing what happened to Couturier’s offensive numbers when you actually put him on a line with some talent instead of burying him in the muck like they did the first several years. He’s a great two way player, and deserves a nod with Giroux.
The Flyers, Penguins, and Caps all have strong duos here, and good arguments can be made for all three. I’m gonna say the Flyers, but I’m being 100% biased. Not gonna lie. If you tell me Pittsburgh or DC, I won’t argue. I’m just being a homer is all, and frankly Philly does have a good entry.
The Devils, Canes, and Rangers are up n comers. Might have a case for them in a year.
Anders Lee is underrated, but I don’t think his presence with Barzal puts them in the running.
Columbus, well, no. |

You want to talk biased? I can't wait to revisit this in a handful of months and throw Travelbanejad and Panarin in the conversation!!!

Oh, the Rangers have the potential to be there. Especially if they eventually experiment with Panarin and Kakko on a line with a ‘feed me’ center.
But I imagine they’ll stagger that talent

Tanner doesn’t have an opinion? Or is he still looking for proof of his bogus nylander stats he posted in the last blog comments. |

The one where nylander is the only player ever to score 60 points in each of his first 2 seasons. Ya that was weird... |

His stat was actually that he’s the only player in history to score 60 then match it the next year while having 50percent less pp points. What a clown |

No love for Hall and Nico? If healthy, I can see them approaching 160+ points this year as a duo. 90 for Hall and 70 for Nico |

This was a surprisingly open-minded post! I think the Caps are ahead of the Flyers tho, but in my own biased nature... extremely excited for Nico or Hughes + Hall to light it up! I think next year they’re top two duos in the division for sure.
Better question: which team in Metro has the best 3 vs 3 squad?
(In no order)
Pens: Crosby, Malkin, ______ (Letang or Guentzal)
Caps: Ovi, Backstrom, ______ (oshie, Carlson, Kuznestov)
Philly: giroux, Voracek, (Couturier, Provorov)
Devils: Hall, Nico, (Hughes, Subban, Gusev, Palmeiri)
Rags: Panerin, Zibanejad, (Kakko, Kreisler, Trouba)
Interesting times...

Hate seeing them on the ice together, but Ovi and Backstrom have made a pretty good case for themselves as a solid 1 - 2 punch. And I'm an Islanders fan. |
